Before you give a personal agent access to your messages, files and accounts, check what it can do without asking, what it remembers, and what happens to that data when you disconnect. This guide compares what each vendor publicly says.

Instinct
What the vendor says it is
Instinct describes a personal assistant reached by text or call, connected to applications and devices.
Permissions and approval
Public terms describe connected-service access and actions, and warn safeguards may not prevent unintended actions. Check your actual approval and account settings.
Privacy and retention
Public terms permit model-improvement/training use subject to opt-out, with safety-review exceptions; Vault materials are excluded from training under those terms. The privacy policy says disconnecting a service does not automatically delete indexed data; external-data deletion is available in Workspace. These are public policy statements, not our independent audit.
Documented limits
Disconnecting services does not automatically delete previously indexed data. No independent safety or reliability test was run.
Pricing
Public terms describe paid features and fees in USD but do not provide a universal price. Current signup eligibility and your offered price must be confirmed. Unknown pricing is not free.
Meta documents Muse as a personal agent for actions, reminders, ongoing conversations and file work.
Permissions and approval
Meta recommends defining boundaries and reviewing actions
Privacy and retention
The readable official page did not state retention or training terms. Check before connecting sensitive accounts.
Documented limits
Meta warns of inaccurate responses or unexpected actions
Pricing
Meta documents limited free usage and an optional paid subscription. Exact limits, paid price and regional signup eligibility were not established by the readable help page.
OpenAI documents dots using permitted plugins and shared ChatGPT memory, with data-access and action controls.
Permissions and approval
Plugin access is managed in ChatGPT Custom Rules add boundaries but cannot override safety requirements Enterprise admin access is off by default; app authorization and device/cloud permissions are separate.
Privacy and retention
OpenAI says content is encrypted in transit and at rest. Disconnecting plugins does not erase retained context. Individual dot memories are not currently editable. These are vendor statements, not an audit.
Documented limits
Individual dot memories cannot currently be viewed or edited Disconnecting services does not delete retained context Phone messaging is unavailable for Enterprise at launch, according to workspace docs.
Pricing
OpenAI documents workspace controls for dots (Beta), with Enterprise access off by default. A standalone dots price and complete personal-plan/region eligibility are not confirmed by these docs. Do not assume all ChatGPT subscriptions include it.
Disconnecting does not clear what was already kept. Instinct's privacy policy and OpenAI's dots FAQ each say disconnecting a service does not automatically delete retained or indexed data. Instinct points to deletion of external data in its Workspace. OpenAI says individual dot memories cannot currently be viewed or edited.
Training use differs in what the documents state. Instinct's terms permit model-improvement use subject to opt-out, with Vault materials excluded. We did not find a comparable statement on the Muse help page we could read, and we did not find one in the OpenAI pages we reviewed. That is a gap in what we read, not evidence that no policy exists.
Everyone warns that actions can go wrong. Instinct's terms say safeguards may not prevent unintended actions. Meta warns of inaccurate responses or unexpected actions and recommends setting boundaries and reviewing actions. OpenAI says Custom Rules add boundaries but cannot override safety requirements.
Access depends on plan and region. OpenAI documents dots as Beta, with Enterprise access off by default. Meta documents limited free use and an optional paid plan without a price on the page we read. Instinct's terms describe paid features in USD without a universal price. None of these is a confirmed price, and unknown is not free.
Questions to ask before you connect anything
Which actions run without my approval, and can I change that?
What is kept after I disconnect an account, and how do I delete it?
Is my content used to improve models, and how do I opt out?
Can I see and edit what the agent remembers about me?
What does it cost after any free allowance, including per-action fees?
What this guide does not do
It does not rank the three. They differ in how you reach them and what they connect to, and we have not tested reliability, speed or follow-through. Each statement above comes from the vendor's own pages listed in the cards, and may have changed since 1 October 2026. See our methodology. To report an error, use corrections.
