Free AI agents
Of the 19 agents in our directory, 5 document a free plan or are open source. None of them is free in every sense. Free plans cap usage, and several agents charge separately for the actions they take. This page lists what each vendor says, and says plainly where we could not confirm a price.
Agents with a documented free tier or open-source option
| Agent | What is free, per the vendor | What to check | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Devin | Free (limited); Pro $20/month; Max $200/month; Teams from $80/month minimum | Official docs list a Free (limited) plan alongside Pro, Max and Teams. Paid quotas and on-demand credits apply, so check what the free allowance covers before relying on it. | Vendor page |
| Fo by Wajo | Free plans advertised; real-world tasks use account credits | Wajo advertises Fo Mini (free, 1000 tasks per day) and OG Fo (free, unlimited tasks and call time). It also says real-world tasks use account credits, so a free plan is not free transactions. | Vendor page |
| LangGraph | Open-source framework; model, hosting and LangSmith costs are separate | LangGraph is an open-source framework for developers, not a ready-made assistant. Running an agent built with it still costs model inference, hosting and any optional LangSmith services. | Vendor page |
| Manus | Credit-based; free daily credits documented; paid price unconfirmed | Manus uses credits, and its help article lists free daily-refresh credits. The article and the current product page disagree on details, so the exact current allowance and paid price are unconfirmed. | Vendor page |
| Muse | Limited free use documented by Meta; paid price not established | Meta documents limited free usage and an optional paid subscription. The limits and paid price were not established by the help page we could read, and signup may vary by region. | Vendor page |
Why "free" needs checking
- Free access is not free transactions. An agent that books, buys or calls on your behalf can spend money or credits even on a free plan.
- Usage caps. Free plans limit tasks, credits or compute. Heavy use usually needs a paid plan.
- Open source is free to download, not free to run. You pay for the model calls and hosting.
- Plans and eligibility change. Region, invitations and beta status can affect who gets a free plan.
Agents where we did not verify a price
These agents do not publish a complete price in the sources we read. That does not mean they are free. Comma, Instinct, Lucas, OpenAI dots, Poke, Cue by Manus, DoorDash text ordering, Mindtrip Personal Travel Assistant.
Paid options with published prices
For comparison, vendors publish these figures: Claude Code is available with Pro at $20 a month, Devin Pro is $20 a month and Max $200 a month, Copilot Studio lists $200 per pack per month for 25,000 credits, and Fin lists from $0.99 per outcome (see how Fin outcomes are billed). Check each record for the caveats. See the directory and use its pricing filter, or compare two agents.
Before you rely on a free plan
- Read what counts as a task, credit or action.
- Check whether real-world actions use credits.
- Find what happens at the limit: pause, slow down or charge.
- Review approvals and data handling in our checklist.
